The death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput has put the spotlight back on the villainous acts of the people associated with the Mumbai film industry. This is not the first time the movie mafia of Bollywood is under the scanner. Actor Sanjay Dutt was found guilty for his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai blasts and served a prison sentence.
Rahul Bhatt, the son of filmmaker Mahesh Bhat, gained notoriety for being a thick friend of David Coleman Headley, one of the prime accused in the 2008 Mumbai attacks carried out by the Islamic terrorists, who were aided and abetted by both internal and external forces.
The killing of Gulshan Kumar, the owner T Series, a popular music production house, also exposed the Bollywood-underworld nexus. Some Bollywood stars also got themselves photographed with Dawood Ibrahim, the notorious underworld don, who later transformed himself into a strategic asset of Pakistan.
Now, the death of Sushant Singh Rajput and the opacity maintained by the Mumbai police in the investigation gave rise to numerous suspicions. After the allegations of foul play in the investigation came to the fore, many media houses latched on to the opportunity and started digging deep into the case. Though many observers opined that the media trial on the case is unwarranted, it became inevitable when the law enforcement agencies bogged down under pressure from the Government of Maharastra and tried to sweep the truth under the carpet.
The way things one after the other are seeing the light, whether it is the connections of Rhea Chakraborty, the main accused, with the drug peddlers, the allegations of nepotism in the Bollywood, and the financial misappropriation that happened, show that something is amiss in the entire episode, which needs to be looked into.
The supreme court had rightly put its stamp of approval on the handing over of the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Hopefully, the investigative agency will be able to unearth the true reason behind the actor’s death and along with it even the criminal dealings in the Bollywood such as sexual exploitation, drugs, financial irregularities, underworld nexus, and terrorism.
Many people associated with Bollywood, who are active on the social media, emerged as the most vocal supporters of Islamists and urban Naxals. Whether it is during the Shaheen Bagh Islamist protests or JNU Tukde-Tukde protests or Delhi riots, they all supported the Left-Islamist combine very actively and played a lead role in inciting the mobs to indulge in violence.
Recently, Amir Khan visited the wife of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey, who is well-known as a rabid Islamist. Erdogan has not only succeeded in reviving rabid Islamism in Turkey but also going all guns blazing to strengthen radical Islamic terrorism all over the world, including Kashmir. Therefore, we have every reason to suspect the intentions of Aamir Khan after he met Mrs. Erdogan.
Though the big heads in Bollywood faced many allegations on numerous occasions, they were not subjected to any scrutiny due to their money and muscle power, and the favorable political dispensations they had. This time, the people of the country are waiting with bated breath for the truth to come out.
